Bridging the Breastfeeding Gap
Welcome to the Bridging the Breastfeeding Gap Event Page!
Since August 2018, Bridging the Breastfeeding Gap has been an event aimed at providing breastfeeding education and resources to employers, organizations and community members during the month of August, which is National Breastfeeding Month. As the name implies, we also aim to eliminate disparities among Black and Indigenous people of color (BIPOC).
This year we will be hosting an informative nature walk at Waterford Oaks Park. The walk will begin near the Waterford Oaks Park Paradise Pavilion. It is a self guided walk that participants can complete at their leisure. Along the way expect to learn some interesting facts about Breastfeeding and Mental Health. Participants are encouraged to bring their phone along and be prepared to learn more by scanning the QR codes for short videos with additional information. Before or after the walk, participants can enjoy snacks and refreshments as well as visit our exciting vendor tables.
Please register below. While this is encouraged to ensure that we have enough refreshments, it is not required.
Questions can be directed to Oakland County Breastfeeding Coalition at oaklandcountybfingcoalition@gmail.com.
We look forward to engaging with you in honor of National Breastfeeding Month.
